VIGNAN INSTITUTE OF PHARMACEUTICAL SCIENCES (VIPS) Established under the aegis of the Lavu Educational Society in 2006 offers two main courses of study, B.Pharmacy and M.Pharmacy. The institution is affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad (JNTUH) and approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and Pharmacy Council of India (PCI).

In keeping with its objective of providing best possible pharmaceutical education, the college has built up a strong infrastructure. This comprises of highly qualified and knowledgeable faculty, excellent library with online electronic library information system, spacious class rooms, and modern laboratory facilities that enable students to gain contemporary education.

The students are trained and motivated to qualify in competitive exams like Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT)/PGECET and encouraged to participate at state and national level sports and cultural activities. The counseling services are also offered to the students by experienced faculty.

INDUSTRIAL TRAINING

The undergraduate students undergo industrial training and continuous interaction with industry is maintained to ensure that learning program remain relevant to the changing trends in pharmaceuticals. The final year undergraduate and post graduate students of our institution actively participate in research and this keeps them to remain on the cutting edge. The institution has collaborations with leading pharmaceutical companies and some of these include Dr.Reddy’s Laboratories, Aurobindo Pharma Ltd, Natco Pharma Ltd, Mylan Pharmaceuticals Pvt Ltd etc.

The placement cell is committed to develop dynamism, strong human values and leadership qualities in all our students. The final year students will have placement opportunities before they pass out from our institution.

The students of VIPS are being accepted by all the leading pharmaceutical companies. At present our students are working not only in Aurobindo Pharma Ltd, Dr.Redd’s Labs, Natco Pharma Ltd, Hetero Drugs Ltd, Cognizant, United Health Group, Omics International, Lifecell international Pvt Ltd, Sandoz Inc. but also in leading Hospitals and Pharma related IT companies.
